Steps
- Create an account and submit your fiction with its title, synopsis, tags and cover.
- Build up a stock of chapters before your first one goes out.
- Post chapters on a steady schedule, using the scheduler to release them on time.
- Answer comments and watch which chapters keep readers.
Watch out for
- Posts one chapter at a time. Readers follow and are notified, so a missed week costs more than a short chapter.
- Readers follow the schedule, so a missed week costs more than a short chapter.
- Royal Road's editor keeps only some formatting. Paste text made for it rather than straight from a word processor.
How StoriesDen helps
- The serial planner schedules your chapters and keeps you ahead of your posting days.
- Each chapter gets paste-ready text for the site, with author notes and stubs kept per chapter.
- A launch playbook ticks off what a serial launch needs, one item at a time.
